Good: Grounds are well kept, a lawn company comes by weekly and will typically blow out the stoops. (not always) Bad: Picking up after your pet is not enforced, and the lawns are a mine field of dog crap. The grass is so over watered it is unusable for any other reason anyway. Be careful of landslides on the hills. Good: Boiler heat is included in rent. Bad: System needs to be cleaned and bled, and will wake you up banging throughout the night. I haven't slept through the night in 6 weeks. BAD BAD BAD: Maintenance is the absolute worse! They do not communicate with the front desk, they do not clearly communicate with you (what is broke, what is fixed, how it is fixed, if they need to come back, etc) YOU WILL HAVE TO ASK AT LEAST TWICE IF NOT MORE FOR SOMETHING TO BE FIXED. Also be prepared to offer your own solutions, because if it is not an obvious fix they will just say it can't be fixed. I fixed my own water leak, because it was honestly less hassle. Good: Covered parking is lit. Bad: The lights turn off before 5 AM while it is still dark....so they aren't all that helpful. Within in 60 days 2 windshields were smashed in on random cars and my licence plate was stolen. Bad: Loud music 24/7, your upstairs neighbors will be loud and it's probably just because the building is old Good: Office staff is very nice although, it mostly seems to be sooth-saying, and not much comes from what they say. They are very good at being nice and not fixing anything. I would not recommend this apartment to anyone, and cannot wait to move out. You should be suspicious too when they have every single floor plan available immediately. I'm not the only one not re-upping my lease on this overpriced place.
