Laredo House Apartments
Resident · 2011 - 2014
This is my second review of Loredo House Apartments. My first review was also positive. As some may know, there was a recent fire that took out one of the apartments, but thankfully, nobody got hurt, all pets are safe, two elderly people who move very slowly got out safe thanks to very helpful and friendly neighbors. And only one apartment was burned. Unfortunately, other apartments in same unit received smoke damage and remodeling and professional cleanup is required in hallway and some units. Of course, I am one of the affected and temporarily displaced. Mr. Draper, the owner and manager of Loredo House, has stepped up once again...and again, and again. He and his family was there on the location while the fire was being put out, helping and encouraging people, took off his heavy jacket leaving him in short sleeves to cover one of the elderly tenants who left her jacket in the rush to get out. It started snowing. He has worn himself out trying to meet and exceed the needs of those affected. I can't say all that he did, but I can tell you that is was far more than I ever expected. Yes, the apartments are old, yes, it might not be the perfect neighborhood for some, but when you have a manager and on site owner who cares and is doing everything that he can to update, serve and protect the community, you cannot help but want to stay just to watch what he will do next to make things better. Mr. Draper, hang in there, you are doing great things and a blessing to the community.
