I very seldom leave reviews, but this place has got to be the worst place to live. If I had the option, I would not have left a no star. I would also like to say that I lived here a few years ago and moved back because my experience the first time was positive. Let's start with the biggest issue: management. If you read through the reviews, ConAm will respond repeatedly that they took over from another management company and that's why there are still issues. What they neglect to mention is that this happened in October of last year and the utility bills are still a problem. I haven't gotten a bill prior to the first since I've lived here. As a matter of fact, this month, they switched providers (again) and didn't notify restidents about the lack of bills till the first. Then, they sent out an email blast saying that bills had been posted. That was sent in the afternoon on May 9th. Residents were charged a late fee on the 10th. Nothing says proactive like being penalized for their issues. On top of that, your water is charged based on the occupants in your building, so hope you don't live in a build that has five people in one unit. This issue is not even the largest problem. There have been a string of robberies in the complex. I believe it's up to 10 now. The perpetrator has been identified as someone who lives in the complex, yet nothing has been done. It took 7 break-ins before management even notified the community. The complex next to our's had an inccident, and they were notified immediately. My area has had to create our own neighborhood watch because no one is helping us. Even simple things like lights in the parking lot is too much. From an interior perspective, if you choose to live here, you will move into a dirty apartment. Every person I have talked to had dust caked on their ceilings when they moved. My unit had a piece of counter top missing and I was told that they weren't going to replace it, as they would have to do the whole counter. Sorry, that seems like your job. Other individuals have hair from the previous tenants still in their homes. It was literally painted over. Also, I hope that you love getting close to your neighbors, because you will hear everything. You could honestly talk to your neighbor if you were both in the bathroom at the same time. The biggest problems in the units is the electrical. When I moved in, every outlet I had was broken. I made a mainentance request and it wasn't fixed for weeks. When they finally showed up, they fixed one. I've now found out that this is a common problem and it's an extreme fire hazard. One of my neighbor's outlets started sparking all over the place and another one of my neighbors has a box full of exposed unit wires next to her door. On to the next thing: the parking lot. You may be swayed into believing that there is ample parking, which is partially true. What you don't know is that most of the spots are so close together, even the skinniest person would have a hard time getting out of their car. There's also a good chance that the person next to you is dealing drugs. This parking lot is also used as a garage for many. Pretty sure that there's a clause in the lease that says only working vehicles, but I doubt the totaled car in the parking lot is going anywhere anytime soon. With the amount I pay, I expect a level of service. I'm not asking for anything more than what management would expect in our situation. No one can tell me that there isn't money to hire security, no one can tell me there isn't money to hire additional maintenance resources, and no one can tell me that this place is worth the money.
