Resident 2010 - 2015

2/21/2015

When my family and I moved in, the property was owned by the Loupe Corporation. They were excellent property managers. They hired competent on-site managers who made us feel very welcomed and heard if we had issues. Melissa was an amazing manager that cared for the property and the comfort of the tenants. She knew this was our home and didn't make us feel like it was big business. A year ago the Alliance Corporation bought the property. They brought in a whole new crew. Vanessa, who is the current on-site manager, can be very rude and condescending. The Alliance Corporation has made us feel like this isn't our home anymore but big business for them to make as much money off of the tenants. For example, they decided to hire a company to pick up our trash outside our doors. We were not given a choice if we wanted this service or not. We are forced to pay an extra $25.00 a month for this service. Then on top of this cost, we still have to pay a trash removal fee for the dumpsters to be emptied. The valet trash from our doorsteps is such a waste of our money because we have to pass the dumpster anyway to get to our vehicles, so we can take our own trash to the dumpster. It should be a choice and not forced upon the tenants. My husband and I feel that the Alliance corporation should involve the tenants in some of the decisions rather than forcing everything upon us. Another situation that occurred was dealing with the parking lot. They gave tenants zero warning that they were repaving the lot. We came home from work and were not able to park in the lot. Then we were told it would take three days, but in fact it took over two weeks. We love that pets are allowed, we in fact have a dog. However, when walking our dog, we come across so much dog feces that owners do not pick up. We, as dog owners, pick up after our dog each and every time. Why do the rules apply to some but not others? We love the location of the complex, as it is close to great schools for our kids, a nice neighborhood to walk our dog, shopping and great restaurants. We feel safe here as Greenwood Village police are visibly present and South Metro Fire is less than a mile away. There are quite a few tenants who smoke in our building. We are not smokers. Our downstairs neighbor is a smoker; he smokes on his balcony. We are not able to leave our sliding door open because of his smoking. The smoke comes into our apartment and really stinks it up. In the amount of time we have lived here, we have never seen such a high turnover in tenants coming and going. We DO NOT recommend Copper Terrace Apartments for your future home.
