Resident 2017 Not Recommended

If you want an apartment that is dirty upon move in, choose this place. I know multiple people, including myself, who have lived here and the apartment is dirty and not made ready to live in. The blinds are disgusting with old food particles and discolored. The carpet is cleaned, but not replaced with stains still present in many ar areas. This apartment is a non smoking community, but I hope you don't mind the smell of weed! My apartment reeked of weed upon move in. Even my movers noticed it and commented. 2 weeks went by of the manager not keeping me updated of the steps to be taken and then telling my friend she was annoyed of me emailing her. As any intelligent person knows, I wouldn't have to email you continually if you had kept me up to date about what was being done in the apartment I wasn't even able to live in due to the smell of weed. Disclaimer: all they did was put in a machine to mask the smell with the scent of cinnamon. After unplugging the machine, the apartment quickly returned to smelling like weed. My movers that moved me out noted that the apartment smelled like weed (which were different movers from the first time). I was informed that they would not change the carpets, but would re clean them. Clearly, when a place has been smoked in, the smell is in the carpet and must be replaced. This situation was a nightmare and so was management to deal with. If you don't get an updated apartment, be ready to expect your cabinets coming apart. They won't do anything but tell you they are old. With everything wrong, I sought management for answers. Apparently the manager (yes the new one with the new management) was annoyed, because nothing was being done so I contacted the regional manager, so she felt the need to talk about my situation and her frustration to another tenant who relayed the message to me. Very unprofessional. I've heard multiple accounts from other residents that the manager doesn't keep your business private. I didnt even know I was able to break the lease because she was "annoyed" with me until another tenant told me from talking to her. Take your money elsewhere. I am so happy I was able to get out of that place.
