I lived here for 12 months, and found the place a decent place to live. Our apartment was reasonably sized and reasonably priced. When I had problems with maintainance, they would attempt to fix things within 48 hrs, but they would never replace anything. For example, our stove would not work, and would emit a burning rubbery smell every time we used it. They would look into fixing it, but would never replace it. <br>The office staff was friendly and helpful until we moved out. After we moved out, they charged us to replace the carpets, the kitchen floor and a few hundred of dollars in cleaning. I dropped the keys off a few days early, and asked the building manager to contact me with any concerns. She called 1 day after our lease expired, and said that she was charged me cleaning fees. I asked for a list and a chance to clean the place again, and although she provided this opportunity, she still charged hundreds of dollars in fees. When I protested, she said although I had in fact recleaned, that meant that I had extended the lease, as I held the keys past the end of my lease (She had given me back the keys that day so I could get in to clean. I had only had keys for a few hours.) Also, there was no way to fight that she claimed the floor and carpet needed replaced. I tried to fight collections, but we ended up paying anyhow just to not end up with bad credit.
