Prospective Resident · 2006
Maybe I shouldn't be writing a review since I never moved in here, but let me tell you what happened with my application and why it was turned down. I had the income, and the job history, and the credit report to qualify for an apartment at this community. The manager was supposed to call the personnel office where I worked in order to verify employment. They would have gotten a fax showing my years of employment and annual salary. Well, instead they called my direct supervisor. This person did not have the correct information on my exact salary or the number of years I had worked for the government (government job, you know). He gave them a salary figure that was approximately half of what I make and the manager of Devon square said they couldn't rent to me because of what my very misguided supervisor said. Even though I told them that all they had to do was call personnel where I worked and that they would tell them my annual salary. I even showed them a pay stub with my correct annual salary on it. But they wouldn't help me. Their loss. I would have been a good tenant. I guess they really don't want to rent out their units. I think they could have at least refunded me the application fee since they wouldn't see the facts right in front of them.
