Resident 2008 - 2011

11/16/2011

I have always loved this building...it's one of the neatest in the city. I felt that way about it until I moved in and it has completely lost it's charm - though it's not really the building's fault. At whatever entrance you come in an array of smells greets you/smacks you upside the head - pot (wanna smoke medical marijuana or whatever? this is the place for you!), trash, baby poop, dog poop, cat urine, you name you will smell it. The pot smell is so bad in some places you could seriously get high. The office won't do anything because they say they can't. Door sweeps would be a good investment! Depending on where you live in the building, is dependent on how thick the walls are. You may or may not hear the person nextdoor sneezing. Maintenance - forget about it! They take forever to get anything done, the vents/"exposed duct work" that they are so proud of haven't been cleaned in years. They advertise an outside volleyball court - haven't seen put up once since I have been there. They have a gorgeous garden - that is completely overgrown - the BBQ grills NEVER work, they should use the area for a dog area, or an actual garden. Most of the resident activities that they sell you on in the beginning cater to kids. The front office staff varies...the people at the front desks are awful - they are rude, lazy and God help you if you come in on Saturday. They had a great leasing person but she left. I am not sure the manager ever leaves her office. I would stay, but the rents keep rising and and so do the complaints...
