When I first moved here in June 2019 it was called Talavera and the leasing staff was friendly. The building is probably about 10 years old and there were some other newer options but because of the price and location of this building I decided to live here. The hallways smelled like trash from the trash chutes with too much air freshener trying to mask it and had old stained carpets, the elevator also had stains on the floor and the maintenance staff was friendly but not very helpful. A few months later Griffis purchased the building and I was nervous as in the past I've had poor experiences when my apartment building was sold. I was pleasantly surprised, the new staff are very friendly and have done a lot - new paint, new hallway carpet, no more garbage smell, new paintings and the maintenance crew came and fixed my heating system the next morning after I called after-hours number in the evening. Unfortunately my job will transfer me to another state in July 2020 but if not I would definitely still live here. I highly recommend Cherry Creek Griffis for the reasons mentioned above: they are very friendly (but not in your face friendly), have been doing a lot to renovate the building, and are very reachable when you need them.
