The staff is remarkable, and by far the best thing about living here. The building is clean, well lit, and attractive. I also feel very secure living here.
Still, living in an apartment right next to the DBG, you'll hear noise all day long (think semi trucks, loaders, and bobcats growling back and forth, scraping, dumping, beeping, clanking), which is super annoying (6 days a week), especially if you work from home. Forget about leaving your door open. At night, it's caterers loading, unloading, cooking.
The GE appliances are noisy and unreliable. I can hear my neighbors doing their laundry (wash and spin). Laminate flooring peels up (though they fix it quickly), hot tub issues, elevator issues, hallway noise.
I think other apartments in the building are much better in terms of DBG noise, just be aware. You're paying a premium here (easily $200/month more than other, comparable buildings).
That said, the staff is courteous, responsive, and very, very nice, and they did all they could to help resolve my issues. At some point, though, decisions are in the hands of the building owners who are convinced that the premium rent is justified across the board.
