Move in with low expectations. Even then, prepare for disappointment.
Let me begin by saying that most of the following problems wouldn't normally bother me much, especially for how cheap my rent was. As a working college student, I didn't mind that the stairwell always smelled like urine, that the parking lot was a deathtrap, and that the pipes in my walls sprung a leak over 3 times within six months- because I could make rent and still afford to eat. I tried to make the best of it. But then my car was broken into- the window smashed and the inside pillaged. Management, though always concerned enough to paste flyers everywhere telling residents not to put derelict couches by the dumpster, didn't care much about this act of vandalism and robbery to let the other residents know. The problems didn't end there. Office staff was generally unhelpful... and usually managed find dishonest ways to extract more money from me- Like telling me upon moving in that the building's internet service was reasonably fast and cheaper than Qwest... but forgot to mention that it goes out for an hour after every 15 minutes of actual operation and that "reasonably fast" was relative to 1992. And it goes on. But if the things that I stated here aren't enough to make you think twice about signing a lease with the Ambassador- then good luck to you.Share This Review
