Resident 2019

9/19/2019

I have been here for a month already. The worst month in a long time. We were told that we could get the keys on Friday Night after 5p so we can start the move in at 7a on Saturday. Arrived on Friday Night and we were denied. Had to wait until the office opened on Saturday at 10a, 3 hours later than we scheduled the movers and had to pay them for. While moving in, we noticed some "issues" and notified the office right away. We were told that once we complete and turn in the move-in inspection report, they were start working on everything. I turned the paperwork in on the following Wednesday. Was told thank you and that will review it and take it from there. The following week, I went to the office to see what the status of it was. They had to pull this paperwork out from our file and submit the work orders at that time. I said thank you and left. The following week after that, I went for another status check. I was told that the work orders are completed in the ordered that they are submitted. Jeff took no concern that our balcony lights did not work and had wasps nests in them as well as the master bathroom had a shower drain issue and the carpets were dirty. We were told that pest control would have to handle to the wasps first. We were told the carpets were cleaned prior to move in and there is nothing they can do until after they research the bill that they paid for this. The other items would have to wait until the maintenance team was able to get to them. I asked for Stacy, the Community Manager. Was told she was not available. I then reached out to the Colorado Regional Office to file a complaint. They treated me like I was a hassle to them. Jeff then went to someone's office, told them I was there and why. He then went to the back and came out stating that someone will be at my apartment within the hour. Within an hour, still no visitors. I then found the number to the Corporate Office in California. I was transferred to and left a voicemail for a Regional person here in Colorado. Just my lick, she was here at the property that day. She and some maintenance members came to my apartment. They fixed most things. For the carpet, she flat out asked if I was sure that we did not do anything to track the dirt in. I told her that we would have had to of dragged the furniture through the mud to get the carpets that dirty. For the counters being scratched, she tried to blame us again. She finally called me later stating that the counters would be resurfaced and the carpets cleaned. I was told that we would not be able to be in the apartment for 4 hours. The day came. I went down to the office to find out where everyone was as it was past the starting time I was told. No one in the office knew anything. All of a sudden, I was then told that it was an all day event as the counter resurfacing would take a few hours and then it is 4 hours after that. With that being said, the carpet people could not be in the apartment until the 4 hours after the completion was up as well. To get this done with, I made the agreement to be out of the apartment for the entire day so the carpet cleaners could do their magic. I come home, the carpet is still not cleaned and there is more damage to the apartment. Now, I am having to deal with them replacing my carpet or doing another shampoo to try and clean the filth out resulting in another day that I have to make arrangements for my dogs and all plus I work from home 3 days a week so I will not be able to work from home that day either. PLUS .. I now have to deal with the other items being broken to get repaired/replaced. Oh yeah, did I mention that they did all this using my electricity/ How do I know? Because the vendors tripped the breakers that I had to reset. However, they will not let you move in until you have proof that the electricity was been swapped to your name. I should have done more search on this hell hole prior to moving in. Ugh!
