Aspen Leaf seemed like an OK place for a poor 21-year-old college student to reside in when I moved in. The people in the office were nice, the rent was at an OK price and my cat was allowed to stay with me.

However, my neighbors were the most disgusting pieces of white trash I've ever laid eyes on. They would leave piles and piles of trash on the balcony, and in the summertime, it would stink up the whole complex. They would have huge yelling matches almost every night, and their teeny bopper friends would hang-out in the parking lot at 5 a.m. yelling while I was trying to get some sleep.

Also, the laundry situation sucked. There are only two washers and dryers for the whole complex, and this huge family in the basement would constantly be doing laundry at all hours of the day.

While I was jogging in the neighborhood one summer evening, I was harassed by a naked guy who then chased me back to my apartment. ------.

And when I was moving out, the office staff told me I could have the rest of December's rent back because I already had someone who wanted my apartment (I was moving out a bit early but still paid the whole month's rent). After I made my moving plans, the office ladies told me that they actually didn't have anyone who wanted to move in (they just wanted to get me out early so they'd have an easier chance of renting it out). Peggie, the peroxide blonde, started yelling at my boyfriend and I, and she called me a liar. I had never been treated so badly in my life.

It's been two months since I moved out, and I still don't have my deposit. Luckily, the state of Colorado says they have to refund you or send you something stating why they didn't within two months or else. I think Aspen Leaf will be getting a nasty letter from me very soon....
