I lived in Temple Square for over 3 years, and my experience was very positive. The apartments are extremely spacious (mine was over 1500 sq ft), with tall ceilings (please note photos attached to this review). The closet space is unparalleled and the bathrooms are huge. The building is beautiful-my apartment had tiled kitchen and bathroom floors and berber carpeting throughout. Two great features of this building are the garage-completely enclosed, private, underground garage with direct access to apartment floors by stairs or elevator- and the proximity to all of downtown New Haven including Yale Medical School, Yale Law School, and the Yale School of Management. The building is also located in a more comfortable (safe for walking) part of town. Previously, I lived in a luxury building near State and Orange Streets on the same parallel (Chapel Street), and during that time I never felt comfortable walking after dusk in my neighborhood, especially if I was alone. This was a big problem during fall and winter.
The BEST part of Temple Square is the service. Margo (the leasing manager) and Dave (the maintenance engineer) were always very responsive and accommodating. Both were approachable and accessible for any hiccups or requests that came up. Additionally, the mail carrier (Steve) and the delivery services such as UPS, FEDEX, and Peapod, were top-notch.
If you are looking to rent in a safe, convenient, attractive building that offers superior customer service, I highly recommend looking at Temple Square.
