Resident 2012

12/7/2012

WE moved to CT last year around Dec 2011. We wanted to have a downtown NYC feel w/o the NYC price. Well, New Haven is NOT NYC but it has some positive things going for it. A lot of good restaurants. The price of the apt for what you get isn't that great. I like Carla and Peter a lot they are very friendly and helpful but the rest of the staff is not worth mentioning. The hot water is always not HOT and the person above is is installing a bowling alley. My first question to the rental agent when I looked at the place was is this apartment on the top floor? YES, it is. There is no one above you. We're on the 4th floor and it appears from the outside that we are indeed the top floor but we're not! The amenities noted are Concierge Services which are located in another building that we don't have access to and today (12/7/12) I went to get my package and was told very rudely that it's 4:20pm and we do not give out packages until 4:30pm so you can stand there or come back later. First of all, the rental information states 4pm and second of all,no one ever told me they changed the times. Picking up packages is really difficult and not worth the "extra service". The heating is controlled and being an historically building it doesn't stay very warm. Needless, to say we will be moving out as soon as our lease is up.
