I moved out of the Wescott after living there for 2.5 years. I moved out because the price of the apartment was getting out of control with all of the fees. At the time that I gave notice, I did not have a new place so I could not proved them with a forwarding address. When it came time to submit my last rent check though, I had a new place and provided them with the forwarding address in writing. 45 days after my move out, I had not received my deposit so I inquired what the status. -------------------, the leasing manager, told me they did not have a forwarding address on file so they sent it to my old address hoping that I had set up mail forwarding, which I had, but I still never received the deposit. Over the course of the next 3 months, I called and emailed -----, called and emailed her manager, ---------------------------, and called and emailed the management company's regional manager, -----------------------, over 20 times to get answers. They all deliberately avoided my calls and would not respond. One of the rare times I was able to get a hold of -----, I got her to reissue the deposit check only for her to send it to my old address again even after I provided her my new address again multiple times over the phone and in writing, and she had confirmed it back to me. When I finally did get a check in my hand, I went to cash it at their direction only to find out they had put a stop payment on the check and I was charged an additional banking fee. It took 4 months to finally get my deposit back when they were obligated to return it in 30 days after the end of the lease.
The first time I called ----------------------- regarding the issue, he assured me I was in good hands and he, personally, would get this resolved. That was the last time I ever heard from him even after calling, emailing and texting him numerous times throughout this process. He refused to ever respond or return any communication.
------------------- and --------------------------- of the Wescott and ----------------------- of Lincoln Property are dishonest people that cannot be trusted. Lincoln Properties cannot be trusted. They all should be ashamed at how they conduct business or the deceptive practices that they engage in.
Do not ever rent at the Wescott or any other Lincoln Property apartment.
