I have rented in Boston, New York, and other places in Connecticut - and Parker Place, by far, suits me best. I live in a corner unit and really enjoy the high ceilings, big windows, and exposed brick. Wallingford, itself, provides just enough entertainment - I can go out when I want but it's not wild/crazy/disruptive. The building itself is very quiet, and for the most part, people stick to themselves. I have asked my neighbors to grab a package if I'm out of town or for a cup of milk, and they're more than happy/generous to help out. Sure, it may not be for everyone. It is a renovated mill with hundreds of apartments, so the windows are drafty and there are "moving" marks on the walls in the stair cases. But I'll take my big windows, quiet environment, and helpful staff over pristinely painted walls any day. The office manager and her staff have always been very helpful and quick to respond with any issues or questions. I would definitely recommend, and I don't plan on leaving anytime soon.
