Lived here for 8 months, love that I could do a 6 month lease and have the month to month option (left CT for another job). They tried to jack the price up on me after the 6 month lease to 775 (I think) which was quite ridiculous. I had a little studio apartment on the 3rd floor with a cute patio. Small but everything I wanted/ needed in an apartment. Pros: Plenty of parking Great snow removal Close to highway Pool Butcher Shop down the street which is AMAZING Management & Maintenance Staff are really good and approachable Wallingford electric is amazingly cheap Cute town, great library Cons: Building was old and the entire apartment complex had electrical problems for months- they were working on fixing this when I left Hallway smelled like smoke and this smell reeked into my room and got on my clothes...got nasty notes for opening hallway windows (in the summer!) and someone tried to permanently have the window shut which was probably a fire hazard. Isolated incident but still PO'd haha. In the summer the stairwells and hallways have no circulation and get stuffy Could occasionally hear through the floors and walls and sometimes the highway (although I fortunately wasn't facing the highway)- I'm an extremely light sleeper and earplugs did wonders A/C units are really loud Price was a little high...although better than living in New Haven The carpets need to be steam cleaned about 20 times before moving in. No matter how many times I vaccuumed still dusty. Need to be replaced they are like 25 years old and really worn. Honestly I loved this place though. Just a few issues that all apartment tenants have to deal with.
