I moved in to this residence in 2016. The lady at the front desk consistently asked me to give her my possessions. She continuously asked me when I was going to give her my designer bags. After over a year of this, it became more aggressive. I finally asked management if this is something that is mandatory to live in the building. I was told that it was not and that they would have a word with her. Since then she has been extremely rude to me and my guests to the point that many stopped coming. I complained to management and they told me to simply avoid her. That means that if she is working I cannot ask for my packages or anything that I may need from the front desk. She works quite often so this has effected me a lot. In fact, during this corona virus, a guest came and she did not alert me that he was there. Per policy, we are to email the front desk so that they have in writing that a guest is coming. She saw that but a new policy had been put in place less than 24 hours that said the resident must come down to retrieve the guest. The management should have been able to come to my door and knock and put the notice under my door about the policy so that I had notice, the night before. The day before, the management had asked if they could drop off a package at my door and knocked, so I know that they can do this. I did not see the notice and was cleaning my apartment in anticipation for my guest. I did not receive a phone call or email that my guest had arrived (which is the standard procedure when a guest arrives, and does not hinder the new policy). My friend, after waiting 30 minutes, left. I went down and spoke with management. The front desk lady had about 5 people very close around her talking and hanging out. I told the management but they did not care. They told me that they would not send him a new Uber or reimburse the fees for their negligence, and thus would not take responsibility. I do NOT recommend this property and will be moving out at the end of my lease due to this treatment (over 4 years of dealing with this front desk person who is very rude, with no resolve).
