Whereas the "posh" section of the Kennedy-Warren has all-new, spectacular bathrooms and kitchens, you will pay dearly for it. You might as well tack on an additional $1,000 to whatever price you expect to pay for a going similarly-priced unit in the same neighborhood for the privilege of living in this "new" wing. Now. To the real meat of the review: I am moving out after a year of trying to deal with the antiquated and ugly kitchen appliances and bathroom-from-hunger. These must be from the 1920s, and they're not charming...trust me. Also, the common hallways in the "old" portion of the building look like something out of "The Shining." No, wait. The Halls in The Shining had a fresh coat of paint and weren't lit by outdated flourescent lights. You better love dark grey paint and no hall lights...because that's what you'll get here...and even the "old" part of the building is way too exorbitantly priced. I'm out of here.
Hello Anonymous, the entire Historic Wing of The Kennedy Warren underwent a major renovation betwen Jan. 2010 and August of 2011. We replaced the plumbing and electircal systems, added a sprinkler system and updated the kitchens and bathrooms while trying to preserve the buildings gorgeous art deco features. We've also added wall sconces and art work to each of the Historic Wings floors in addition to new overhead lighting. Please come back for another look at our newly renovated Historice landmark. Thank you for your review. Josh W.
