The Apollo overall is an AMAZING building and community! I moved to The Apollo in October 2017 from Long Island and I've been obsessed since Day 1. All of the staff, from the front desk to maintenance, are INCREDIBLE - efficient, friendly and professional! The building is gorgeous with amazing amenities! Having the Wyndown Coffee Bar in the lobby is divine. The rooftop is GORGEOUS and amazing seating options. The gym is awesome too! We are also right above Whole Foods - how convenient! The Apollo is the crĆØme de la crĆØme of NE Washington, DC! - There's no question! And it's a convenient walk to Capitol Hill and Union Station. I would say the only negative (which is not The Apollo's fault) but is concerning as a resident... is the incredibly obnoxious trumpet player who may have found a new hone on H street. Councilman Allen's office has been successful in having him move to other blocks on some days... hopeful this remains the case as the nice weather approaches. If you face the street, even with your windows closed, you will hear him blaring his trumpet, butchering the same songs over and over again all day into the night. It's brutal. He use to be in NOMA... .... It's frustrating that this one individual, if he remains, ruins the quality of life for street facing residents. If he leaves, then selecting The Apollo is simply a no brainer.
