First off, the office will tell you anything you want to hear in order to get you to sign your lease. They're really friendly when they're taking your money too. After that, it's hell. The noise is unbearable, between the neighbors and the train all day and night. There are leaks that go untreated for months, causing health hazards, mold, stains, which apparently the management/maintenance doesn't care about. The parking is horrible, and no one abides by the "one car only in front of the building." Maintenance enters your apartment whenever they feel like it, with no work orders, or emergency. If you're lucky they'll leave you a note saying they were there. Recently they did some repairs on the upstairs balconies, but didn't bother to pick up any of the debris left all over the downstairs, and surrounding areas. There is dog crap all around the apartments, except for right in front of the office of course. And as for the area being nice, if anyone thinks that they must not be opening their eyes. It's completely run down, and full of crime. There is never anyone in the office to answer phone calls, and if they are in the office, they never answer the phone, and the door is conveniently always locked. The heating bill is outrageous because there is no insulation, and the half open mail slots, and no weatherstripping on the doors doesn't help at all. We've lived here a year, and it's just gotten worse and worse. You'd be better off living in your car.
