Resident 2014 - 2015

1/16/2016

This place is a horrible slum. My apartment was infested with roaches for over a year, the laundry facilities were not only expensive but filthy, my energy bill was absurdly high. The list goes on and on! But I'll tell you everything in the hopes that you will choose someplace else to live. -No inspection was performed with me when I moved in. There was a gaping hole in my bathroom wall that was never explained or attended to. -The area is dangerous. I heard gunshots frequently, and I saw the police there more than once a month. I was afraid to go out after dark. -My air conditioning broke 3 times, or about once every 5 months. -The ventilation was horrible. I was amazed to find that my apartment was both drafty and dank like a dungeon. -My peephole was permanently damaged by maintenance, and I had to keep it in place with tape. -When moving, I had a jewelry box stolen out of my car. -I was rushed and cornered by an off-leash dog. -Neighbors dropped cigarette butts onto my patio furniture. -My bicycle was stolen. -Another neighbor constantly smoked marijuana, and the smell seeped into my apartment through the walls. -There was a constant, ongoing fight for parking spaces. -People let their dogs poop in my lawn area, and they did't pick it up. -The trash area was perpetually piled up with garbage. Look behind the fence there, and you'll find mountains of junk. -The complex is literally downwind of a sewage treatment plant. On hot days, you can actually smell the hot stew of human excrement wafting on the breeze. -Did I mention the roaches? I still imagine I see them in my very clean house. I must have killed over a thousand while I was there. -It is impossible to get ahold of the management. Despite this long list of complaints, I never once spoke to the manager, no matter how many times I requested. In other words, moving to Sailpoint Bay was a horrible mistake. If you can afford to live elsewhere, I beg you to do so. Save yourself from the foul misery of this slum.
