We have lived here in "Phase 2" for 7 months. When we signed our lease a year ago, we were told that the new pool and work-out facility would be completed long before we moved in but here we are one year later and they STILL are NOT finished. Also, the walls in Phase 2 are SUPER THIN. We hear our neighbors doing EVERYTHING when we are all in our bedrooms(ie. people on the other side of the wall and above us having sex and children making children sounds) because the master bedroom walls are shared. At night, it's almost like sharing a tent with your neighbors! Fortunately, the living room and guest bedroom walls are not shared so if you are lucky enough to get an apt. next to someone who is quiet at night, you probably would not have any problems with noise. We are not bothered by any other sounds during the day or by any music or parties so that's good. I think we're far enough away from UF that we don't have any keggers here. The noises are mostly at night (upstairs toilets flushing sounds like a loud waterfall in our bedroom, etc.) A bonus point to living here is it is nice having brand new appliances (we are the first people to live in this apt.) and new paint and carpet and they are the nicest apartments we looked at in Gainesville. The trade offs are that not everything we were guaranteed has been provided and since we like to work out, that is a big deal to us. I agree with the commentor regarding the decline since the change in management (the old mgt. was in charge when we signed our lease but the new mgt. has since taken over). The last thing I'll mention is that this week there was a rape in our complex at 5 am on Tuesday morning. (This was in the Gainesville Sun and on the news). This can obviously happen anywhere but I thought I should point it out...
