Resident • 2005 - 2006 Not Recommended
I lived at the Woods of Mandarin for 1 year and as soon as I stepped into the place, I knew that I had made a mistake. They "supposedly" cleaned the carpets, but it was still FILTY. There was a hole behind my stove, which was not plugged in that remained there until I moved with various critters getting into the apt. I called management to have it repaired at least once a month, to no avail. I went without a properly working AC unit from April until November. After 100 calls to the office and to Greystar management, they finally replaced the unit. Mu electric bill for a 1 bedroom apt was over 150.00 a month, again due to the AC/Heating unit. Many, many phone calls and emails to Greystar managment never produced results for compensation. They would rather fill their pockets with rent money than fix a serious problem. The residents also leave lots to be desired. Many are seen urinating in bushes, thowing beer cans on the property, emptying apartments in dumpsters, which by the way are also overfilled and peering into apartment windows as they walk around the grounds. The laundry rooms were always disgusting, and the sparkling pools Ha-Ha were used as bathtubs for the overflow of apartment dwellers in a single apartment. The rent was affordable, but you get what you pay for. This is not a place for young couples with children, singles, or the elderly. Safety was an issue, only one lock on the door, which by the way was not installed correctly. Yes, the model home is "nice" but that is probably the only apartment that is. If you are looking to rent there, take a long look at each building, drive through at night and on the weekends before you rent, you will drive away FAST and never turn around again! Don't count on getting your deposit back, they lie and lie and lie to residents. New management or not, DO NOT RENT THERE!!!!
