Definitely overpriced for what you get.. They are supposedly "luxury" apartments and there is absolutely nothing luxury about them. There isn't even a light in the living room ceiling fan. They probably charge a couple hundred more dollars for those though, if they even offer it.. seriously??? The blinds on the sliding door are super cheap.. slats fall off when you open them up. The fixtures and appliances are not upgraded at all and are constantly having issues. If you live in any of the units in the back buildings your view is a bunch of construction and you also get to hear the noise from the construction, which often begins VERY early in the morning, even on the weekends. We have even had super bright spotlights shining into our windows that we ended up contacting the city about. Of course, they offer no type of compensation for the inconvenience. The pool and spa are consistently not functional and closed down. Isn't that one of the things we pay for to be able to enjoy?? Once again, something there is no compensation for. One of the main reasons we chose NBOK was because of the security gates, which for the first month we were here, they didn't work, and stayed open 24/7. At least they took care of that and they stay closed at all times now. The trash area is almost always disgusting, and there are times that the compactor is not there that the residents just throw their trash in there, instead of neatly stacking like they should, making it impossible to even walk in. Even when they compactor is there, the residents won't put their trash inside. It will stay like that for days before anything is done about it. There have been several occasions the trash area is so packed with trash you can't even walk into it. They have a speed limit of 10 mph around the complex that's enforced very loosely as people still fly through like it's nothing. For the past 2 months, we have been having issues with our neighbor below us and for whatever reason the office staff have yet to do anything substantial to rectify the situation even after multiple instances. It all gets swept under a rug because they'd rather not deal with it. We get told to call the courtesy officers or file formal complaints but obviously that does nothing as the issue still persists. They want to charge US extra money to do what seems most logical, move us (or them) to another apartment. Most of the office staff lack general customer service skills. They would rather argue with you and have an attitude (--------- is the worst with that) instead of take care of your issues/concerns/inquiries then and there. Perhaps the staff should be trained better on how to engage with residents in a respectful manner and how to deal with issues between residents correctly. I think ----- is the only one in there that that has her head on right. We have only been here for a few months and due to all the issues we've had since moving in, we have already decided we won't be renewing our lease when it's time, we honestly can't wait to get out of here. It's such a shame. We would definitely NOT recommend to anyone else, especially if you've got children as it's not kid friendly at all!
