Resident 2001 - 2004

11/5/2004

When I was stationed in Jacksonville w/the military in 2001, these apartments were awesome in every category, including rental amount. It is now almost 2005, and the situation since April 2004 is grim.

New management bought the place out, made false promises about property "improvement" and since then, the rent has gone up, the maintenance is not being done (one of the management's first actions was to get rid of 6 out of 8 maintenance people, as well as a grounds keeper). There are drugs being dealt, it has become littered with trash, it is noisy, and the quality of tenants has plummeted (after all, who would choose to live here under these circumstances?). Not to mention that they have left a playground that is dangerous at best, with no concern for the children who may be badly hurt playing on unsafe equipment. Some of the elderly tenants were encouraged to leave through stiff hikes in rental amount as well.

The new management is insincere, dishonest, unfriendly, and uncaring.

The JSO "courtesy officer" that took Smokey's place is not doing his job at all... and leaves a tremendous amount of room for improvement... maybe that is why someone slashed his tires... who knows?

I would highly recommend military members to stay clear! I would recommend anyone who values a family setting to stay clear!

I also had over $2000 worth of personal property stolen - managment was unconcerned.
