over the most recent 365 day period. The index is presented as a familiar letter grade format to help renters evaluate all aspects of life at a community.
SatisFacts, a sister company to ApartmentRatings, offers surveys that measure renters satisfaction at key points throughout the renter lifecycle: Touring, Move-In, Maintenance, and Lease Renewal. The questions from each survey type that are based on a 1-5 point scale are then added into the calculation of the community's epIQ Grade.
Not all communities use surveys and therefore may not have any survey information on their report card. These communities will show an "N/A" for their survey sections.

Thank you for providing your feedback and review of The Views at Harbortown Apartments. We would like to take this opportunity to apologize for the fire system and the issues you have experienced. There have been problems associated with heightened sensitivity levels pertaining to the particle counters and the registering of construction dust settling in which we are currently addressing. The dust stirred up as a result of the construction of the community can be a factor with these types of sensors. We have replaced several in order to alleviate the issue and we are having the system further inspected to ensure this is not an ongoing concern in the future. We are also sorry to hear that you are able to hear your surrounding neighbors. In a shared living environment, some noises are unavoidable and each person has a different sensitivity to those noises. We would like to get further details on this and ask that you contact the leasing office when you have a moment to discuss. If what you are experiencing is deemed to be excessive, we want to ensure we address that for you right away. The property manager would love the opportunity to personally address each of your items above as some further information is needed on the AC, doors being repainted and mopping of the lobby. We are so sorry that the office holiday hours and closing inconvenienced you; signs were posted in advance and throughout the community to make residents aware of the holiday hours. I hope you were able to get the gifts once the office reopened. Again, please call or stop by at a time that is convenient for you. We look forward to hearing from or seeing you soon!
Dear Anonymous, We are so sorry to hear that you feel this way. We would like to address some of your issues; AC filters are changed monthly by our maintenance team at the resident's request. Please contact the leasing office to schedule yours to be changed, and at that time we can address the dog issue you have as well. We do have 9 dog stations located throughout the community with the marina area offering several in addition. If you see irresponsible pet owner's, please call the leasing office and we will address this issue by providing a brief description of the dog and owner. We do impose fines for not cleaning up pet waste, which can also result in lease termination for continual violators. Although there is ample parking on the property, allowing boats and other recreational vehicles can limit the available parking we do have. It is for this reason that we do not allow this. There are several storage facilities located in very close proximity to the community that do offer boat storage and we can give you contact information when you call the leasing office.
