Resident 2010 - 2012

9/3/2013

I lived here for 2 years and loved it. It was a beautiful apartment; it was very quiet, and I never had any problems. A couple of cons: It was a pain to have people over because it's hard for them to get up to your apartment but at the same time it's like that because it is really secure. That being said sometimes the back gates, which back up to the wooded area in front of the lake, would be left open (which was a little scary) The people in the office could be better. Overall, though, the apartment is awesome. I have lived in two other apartments since (in another city) and they do not come even close to the village at lake lily. Wish I still lived THERE!

Truly disgusted by the staff here. They were miserable to communicate with the entire time I lived here. At first, I tried to give the benefit of the doubt and assume there were extenuating circumstances-- but eventually, I had to take the rose colored glasses off and realize this is consistent with how they do business. Fortunately, I kept my interactions with them to a bare minimum: I paid my rent early and never had a single infraction-- but yet they treated me (and everyone else) like scum. I paid almost as much at Lake Lily as I do now in my luxury high rise downtown-- and let me tell you, the difference is SO worth it. The staff at the Village at Lake Lily is ungracious and unwelcoming. I honestly regret supplementing their salaries for as long as I did. They could use a serious lesson in treating others with respect and dignity. For logistics: the pool is adequate-- probably the best amenity they offer. The gym is acceptable, but machines are often broken without explanation of when they will be repaired and the functioning tv's are hit or miss. The Phase 2 building backs up to Lake Lily… See More>

      Resident 2012 - 2013

We are finally out of this hell hole! Just signed a lease in baldwin park and couldn't be happier to be leaving this place behind. First off, we selected a model that was, conveniently "unable to be viewed" until 2 days before move in. On that day, we discovered that we could throw a rock from our balcony and hit the road tracks. We thought, hmmm can't be so bad, right? I bet they try to be respectful at night if/when they come through and probably do so more often during the day when we aren't here. Sadly, we were very, very wrong. The conductor seems to hate his job and all the quietly sleeping folk he passes by, therefore pumping out excruiating train whistles to wake even the most Ambien drugged resident. The train whistles debut around 11:30, 2:30am 4:00am etc. which really helped me adjust to my new demanding sales managing position. Thanks for the insomnia. Better yet, we weren't able to switch our location to the nice courtyard one we viewed during the walk-through, unless we were willing to shell out over $1000 in fees. But there are some good things, they are… See More>

NO. The walls are entirely too thin, you can hear normal conversations in your bedroom from your neighbors. They can also hear you do normal things which just means everyone files noise complaints on each other. Dog owners never keep their dogs on leashes and when they do, they are the very long ones. The dogs run or jump on you. Dog owners allow their dogs to poop and piss in the hallways. It has gotten better, but it is still bad. Beautiful apartment, but it is so horribly insulated it is almost completely unbareable. You can hear bath water going down the drain upstairs. Spend your $1050 elsewhere. Parking garage is limited and a danger zone. The real major is that the maintenance guys are perfect.

I've lived here for a year now and just renewed my lease. I moved in for several reasons: it is safe, garage parking, cheaper than other places of the same caliber, and good location. Safety: the garage and building requires you to enter with a fob or have guests use the call box to enter. It's a it of a pain when you have a get together. But I'd rather have a small pain every once in a while, than not be in a safe place. Parking: It's enclosed in a garage, so better for my car. It does get pretty full...but it's not a big deal. I get home from work at about 8, so it is full most of the time... but all other apartment complexes are the same. Motorcycles annoy me most. Taking up various parking spots. There could be bike spots to avoid that. Rent: It's not the cheapest, but it's not the most expensive either. We have a pretty nice gym, nice pool, jacuzzi, and grill. Rangetsu restaurant and salons downstairs, as well as a wine and jazz bar across the street, nail salon, dry cleaners. It's a good location and a nice place. There… See More>

I have been living here at the Villages at Lake Lily for 2 years and just renewed my lease for 12 more months (I wish they would bring back the 14 month lease)! From the first time I walked into my brand new apartment to today when I signed a new lease I am so happy. I have lived in a house for the past 20 years and was apprehensive about moving into an apartment but my experience has been exceptional. Staff - super nice Location- perfection Cleanliness-except for lazy and inconsiderate pet owners everything up to standard Noise level-no surprise here. You can hear other people but not enough to complain Parking Garage-Guest parking is not the best but I can always find a parking spot Safety-never had an issue Maintenance-exceptional and friendly Would I recommend this complex- absolutely You get what you pay for here and actions speak loudly by the length of my stay.

The Village at Lake Lily is a great community in a great area! I've lived here for a year and just resigned a lease. There's so many great things about living here including all the activities around the lake (food trucks, farmer's market, art festivals), proximity to Park Ave and downtown, beautiful pools, restaurants/salons in the community and helpful staff. I really love the high end look of my apartment (granite counter tops, wood floors and stainless steel appliances). I enjoy having a parking garage, elevators, great gym and a secure building. There are a few downsides which include difficulty getting guest in (due to how secure the building is), ability to hear people in the hallways (concrete floors with indoor hallways), and limited areas for pets. The rent here is a little high, but I believe well worth all the great perks of living here.

I have been living here for two years and will not be renewing when my lease is up. I am going to honestly give you the good and the bad. I believe management has been writing some of the positive reviews because....just yeah. Good: Management - idk what the other negative reviews were about, but i have never had a problem with management being rude to me or my guests when they have to interact. The manager is honest, but definitely wouldnt call it rude. Sometimes i think the office staff is almost TOO nice (more of that in the cons). Maintenance staff - super nice, helpful and trustworthy. They are absolutely great. Location - You seriously cannot beat it unless you go to The Lofts at Altamonte or downtown and pay $300 more at least in rent/month. Park & various events there, i4, close to everything. Love it. Salon and Rangetsu restaraunt downstairs (they give free drink/dinner coupons sometimes). They are always doing some fab event for residents. Apartment amenities/unit upgrades - the gym is amazing, the pools are beautiful. The apartment itself is so classy and homey. I love my apt features (built in bookcase, desk area, garden tub, crown molding)… See More>

I live at The Village now since a little over a month, and it is a really nice apartment community. The walkways are clean although many residents have dogs, the parking garages are very convenient, the apartments are nicely equipped, the pool areas look gorgeous. There are only a few downsides. First of all, it's not cheap. But everyone who signs a lease here knows that in advance. Then most apartments (at least I assume) are quite loud - not so much from the neighbors (I live top floor, so that experience might be different for others), I have in those 5 weeks here not yet really heard a neighbor. But the community is surrounded by busy streets, a train track, and a park that has frequent events that can generate quite some noise. It seems also at the pool sides it can become noisy from time to time. But I learned to deal with a train driving through my bedroom every few hours and still really like the place - so I guess most people can. Also, if you cannot stand seeing wildlife from time to time in your apartment, you might have to look some other place (maybe… See More>

I also love the covered parking garage and the fact that Lake Lily is a footstep away. I absolutely LOVE living here. To me, this isn't your typical apartment complex. It definitely feels like more of a community. I've never lived in an apartment complex with such welcoming staff and residents. The staff here are not the type to get you to sign and lease and forget about you. I have to give a special shout out to both Alex and Sammy for always providing exceptional personalized service - honestly, who doesn't want to live somewhere where they actually know you by name. What else makes The Village at Lake Lily so great - pet policy (one of the things that made me inclined to move here was their pet policy - 2 dogs up to combined weight of 100 lbs - why - because I knew it was a community with a LOT of dog lovers); apartment layout and apartment features (I love that my apartment doesn't have your traditional layout and that it has a spacious 2-door bathroom, spacious walk-in closet and is not entirely carpet). And having my friends be envious of the resort style pools is not so bad either. The only things I don't like (and these are certainly not huge issues) is… See More>

I lived in the Village of Lake Lily for 3 years. Everyone there has always been polite and wonderful to deal with. If you have a problem, it is addressed immediately. Michelle and her staff are great and the maintenance staff, headed by Sammy is also wonderful. I recently purchased a house so that is the reason why I moved out. I have to say that I was a little sad to go. It is a great location with great people. It can be however, be a little noisy and you will hear the train but it is an apartment and the noise is expected. Overall, it has been a great place to live.

One of my must haves were granite counter tops, crown molding, and security. I love that I have a parking garage with easy access to my apartment. The common grounds are very well kept including the pools, the game room, and gym. I really love this place and have no regrets of moving in. My leasing agent, Alex, has been wonderful from the very beginning, quickly accomodating request to modify a few things here and there. She is always very courteous and friendly.

I love that I can drive my car up to the 3rd floor and walk down the hallway to my apartment. I live right next to the train tracks and yes it does take some getting used to for sure. The trains are loud. But both myself and my girlfriend have grown accustom to the train and it doesn't bother us at all. Friendly staff always there for you. Especially Alex, she is wonderful. This is one of the best places I have ever lived for multiple reasons: 1st The complex is maintained beautifully, the staff is professional, friendly, and works hard to accommodate residents needs and wants. I live near the railroad tracks and while I can hear the whistle, I do not hear the train nor feel vibrations. The units are extremely well insulated so that the noise of the train going by is minimized. The ability to walk out and go to the weekly farmer's market, events at Lake Lily, walk to the library and grocery store are huge amenities for those desiring to go green and have an inner city experience. Amenities are wonderful also: billiards room with 4 large screen high def TVs, 24-hour gym with equipment that is maintained, Internet Cafe with WIFI and coffee machine. This place is really wonderful because there are high standards for service, maintenance, and appearance. I recommend it highly. Isabella

The best thing about these apartments is that they are very soundproof. Or maybe we just have very respectful neighbors. They also have very nice layouts, carpets and fixtures. They seem to have an ongoing problem with the fire alarms - we have a false alarm at least once month. They are so loud, they will hurt your ears and scare your pets. We had one the other day where the alarms went off for 45 minutes. I read an online review that they had problems with the fire alarms when the place was first built in 2009, so this has been going on for years. A lot of the residents don't even go downstairs anymore, because they know it's not a real fire. If there ever was a real fire, people would probably ignore the alarms, unless they smelled smoke. We've never lived anywhere that had as many fire alarm problems as this place does. Some of the other problems are, the garage gates break frequently, people don't pick up after their pets and people leave their trash bags in the hallway, even though there is valet trash. There are college students living here, so that leads… See More>
