Resident 2001

6/3/2002

Think 1950´s strip motel and you have an idea of the Wishing Well. They have units on the north edge and south edge of their property all facing into the middle which has some nice grass (probably because they are such grouch´s about anyone walking on it). The grass is divided down the center by a side side walk which double as the shuffle board court area.

The nicest thing about the Wishing Well is the tiki huts at the edge of the sea grass which divides their property for the beach area. From the tiki hut you can sit and read, sleep, eat at the table, snooze, talk to the neighbors, nod off, watch the dolphins and doze. There is a cold water shower to rinse off the sand with always get everywhere when you go down to the beach.

My greatest dissatisfaction stems from the lack of value that I feel that we received when we last stayed there in 2001. The first room they tried to put us in the air conditioner did not even work (NOT good in Florida). And only had a small bed room and a tiny living room/kitchen area, for more than we had paid at other places with much more space.

They moved us across the streed (bay side) to a larger unit, but of course we paid even more.

We still managed to have a great time, because we were at Casey Key, but I don´t think that we will be returning to the Wishing Well any time soon.

p.s. not only are they gouchy about the grass but also the parking......bark, bark, bark!!!
