Cram it Up Your Cram Hole Royal Palms!

I can see that these apartments have done quite a bit of revolving. They've gone from Belle Creste to Royal Palms Apartments, to now Miriada. They can call themselves whatever they want, they STILL SUCK!!!!!! This place is so horrible it might as well be in Miami. The police have been in this complex at least six times in the eight months that we've been here! They've looked for everything from missing ten year old girls, to domestic violence, to ending rowdy parties that carry on until 3 am sometimes. This is not good if you're married or have a family with children...even though children seem to dominate this place! I think there are more children here than adults! They look bored and pitiful all of the time as though they never have anything to do, but push each other around and yell "F*** You!" and such profanities that would shock the most old school old timer.

Don't even get me started on the "gated community." "Gated Community" NOTHING. It was more like BE-gated Community. There was not even a gate on either entrance. The only gate there is happens to be around the side walk, which is why some idiot could just drive right into the parking lot and ram his car right into to mine! I came home one night and there was a gigantic dent in my car! I went and told the management and their only response was, "not our problem." My neighbor said he saw who did it, but there was one small problem: THE IDIOT DIDN'T GET THE LICENSE PLATE NUMBER. I called the cops, and all they could do was fill out a report.

We had the most ------ neighbors in the whole complex. They were from Jamaica or one of the islands apparently. I am not saying that all Island people are loud, because my family is from Haiti and they could not belt out even a fourth of the noise all together that just one of my neighbors could!! Every other night these girls would come and knock on my neighbor's door and jump the girl who lived there. The cops were called on them a few times. They would walk up and down the hall yelling and screaming. The little boy who lived there looked as though he never had a bath in his life! He was bad too. He spray painted graffiti all over the breezeway. He would leave his funky shoes outside so that people could trip all over them. He put food by our door so that we were always getting ants and other unidentifiable bugs. One time he took our apartment number off of our door and switched it with his! I promise I wanted to kill that kid! I never had these kinds of problems any where else I lived.

YOu haven't heard the worst part yet. When we first moved in, this place had roaches! Yes Roaches everywhere and the apartment was clean! It made no sense. We almost ripped the management a new one for that. We told them if they didn't get rid of these blankety blank roaches. We would call and call and call until they were all gone. That's why if you want to live here you better invest in some (get your pen ready b/c here's a list) 1)2 bottles of roach and flea spray 2)a pack of at least eight roach motels 3)fly swatters and 4)on top of all of that keep having Royal Palms call Terminix. Eventually, that should keep the bug population under control. It will be overwhelming to see roaches crawling out of your bed at first, but it will stop after a while! Then, after the roaches disappear, you have to get used to seeing sugar ants invading your bathroom-in the shower where you clean your body, in the sink where you brush your teeth, even on the toilet where you take care of other matters. I don't know why they never went in the kitchen...after all, that's where all the food is!! I had to use half a bottle of Raid Ants to finally kill them all off! That just goes to show you how terrible pest control is around here. I suspect these apartments may even have termites as well as my husband said he has seen them mingling in with the sugar ants. I guess they get together and play cards or something.

Now, they're turning these apartments into condos and they're calling them Miriada. They're selling them to people for about $200,000. Sound like a good deal? I guess it is if you don't mind a bug infested, cop-list parties, pot headed neighbors, all inside of a wonderful be-gated community...then welcome home! The aparmtments are closet sized so you won't really have space on your side. You'll never know the management because they change every two weeks, so don't bother. Your car might get hit by some crazy crack head. All they're doing to renovate these apartments are slapping some paint on the outside of them and stuffing a bunch of trees in the ground. They're trying to get rid of the "crazy" people, but all they're doing is moving to the low income apartments right next door and down the street so you'll encounter the same problems.

As you can see my husband and I are quite dissatisfied with these places--we are getting out of here 3/1. We were here for eight months and they were eight months too long! Royal Palms, Miriada, or whoever you are GOOD RIDDENS!!
