Lived in two apartments at Camden - both on the first floor. First floor are the only units with granite and stained concrete floors. Those are the only two reasons to live at Camden. Two biggest isses: 1. We could hear everything from our upstairs neighbor. Cell phone ringing, dog walking with its nails on the floor, loud conversations, etc... 2. The fire alarm went off, no joke, at least 15 times in the 2.5 years I lived there. One night it went off for 55 minutes straight. I slept in my car in the garage. It was ridiculous. The leasing agents are very, very nice and the community itself is decent. Can get a little gross at times but you are going to get that downtown on weekends with all the stuff that goes on downtown. Felt very safe there - girlfriend lived with me for half my tenure there. Overall, I would not recommend Camden to anybody. Especially now that the prices have increased. If you do go there, talk to Mara Heet in the leasing office. Very nice woman.

    Over priced

    I pay 1500 for a 2/2. Overall this is a nice place compared to Uptown, City View, Or Park North place (something like that). I live on the fourth floor with no side neighbors so I don't hear them. The maintence people are super fast and friendly. The office lady named Mara is helpful and nice. Cons: Dog ----. I hate pet owners bc they just let them ---- everywhere. Its gotten better since 3 notices have been out. The fire alarms go off about once a month. One time it went off 3 times in a month and I wasn't too happy for working 12 hr shift the next morning. Im actually writing this while outside my porch waiting for the firemen to turn off the fire alarm (30 minutes non stop ear painful alarm). My bf car got broken into and stole his movado watch. All of the 4th floor bike rack had like 10 bikes (locked up bikes) stolen all at once and the office people offered a free lock if we bought another bike.       Great Place

      I have been living here for some time now and I really enjoy it. The residents are very friendly and always say hi to me in the hall. I get invite to get together at the pool all the time. There is tons of secure parking so I never worry were I am going to park. It is just minutes from downtown with being in the thick of it. The office staff is very friendly and always eager to help you out. Maintanence is on the ball when there is a need. I cant say enough good things about Camden.

        The alarm still goes off after midnight

        I lost count how many times the alarm went off at this apartment. Of course I can't be productive at work the day this happens. This kinda reminds me a dorm life back in school. (the different is that $1000 rent every month.) The alarm is so loud. It's so loud that it hurts my ears. Because it's been happening too many times, many people don't go outside anymore unless they are new. If something really happens and the alarm goes off for a real emergency situation, I think many people probably will be in trouble since they will think it as just another faults alarm. All the things other reviewers said are true and they are not exaggerating. To be fair, several things about this apartment are nicer than other apartments. The new maintenance team is really good. They do their job so fast and they are also friendly. Pool is very nice, and so are the gym and a leasing office. Mara is the best leasing office lady I've ever met.           Not A Luxury Apartment but a ------ Apartment

          When you first come to Camden Orange Court, you will think that it is a paradise... But give the apartment complex a little time to grow on you and you will quickly change your mind! Why Camden Orange Court is a ------ Apartment.... 1. Most of the floor plans feel like small Tuna cans. 2. Their fire alarms go off a lot around 4:00am. 3. They are right next to a train that is extremely loud. The train goes by about 6 or 7 times a day. 4. DO you like Earthquakes? Because at Camden, everytime the train goes by, the entire complex shakes! 5. When you need to pick up a package in the leasing office, the Managers will ignore you until they are done speaking with a potential customer. This means that you will need to wait for them to take the potential customer on a tour of the complex before you can pick up your package. Don't think about politely asking them to give you your package before the tour because they will humiliate you in front of the potential customer. 6.             I really enjoyed living here

            I moved in last August (2009). I love my apartment. I have a courtyard view and occasionally hear people talking in it or on their porches. The first 6 months I lived here the fire alarms went off a lot. I was upset at the time but it has been a long time since it has happened. I think the problems have been fixed. My apartment is great. Stainless steel appliance, dark wood cabinets, huge bathroom etc. Anytime something is wrong maintenance fixes it within 24hours. I lived at another Camden property before this and this management team is much better. The rent it high. I will be moving out for that reason alone. I love everything else. It's definitely for a younger crowd. I've never seen the fecal matter, trash, etc that another reviewer wrote about. Great place to rent if you have the money for it.

              Don't sign a lease here! You've been warned!

              From first look, it seems like a great community. It's a newer building with a new gym, huge pool area, and new apartments. However, once you move in, the nightmare begins. I could hear my upstairs neighbor talk, walk, shower, go to the bathroom, and even do personal things at 5am that I should NOT have heard!!!! This apartment boasts that it is a "luxury" community. So, luxury is having to step over dog poop in the walkways, stairs, pool area, and dog walking areas? Also, my neighbor lets her dog defecate on the balcony...nice! The stairwells are always full of trash-- beer bottles, dog poop, random printers, banana peels, etc. I count the days as trash rots away in the common areas. Sure there is ample parking in the key access garage, but when the gate is broken or stuck open, it defeats the purpose. Cars have been broken into inside the garage on multiple occassions.                 Not worth the money. Noisy, dirty and too expensive.

                Not worth the money. Noisy. Noisy. Noisy. I can hear my neighbor flush the toilet. Nice inside and pretty outside but too expensive for all the noise and traffic (always dusty in the air). Too far to walk to car and my electric bill was almost $200 and I was never here my fist month!
