I agree with the person that said Osprey Links used to be a good apartment complex until the new management company took over. I have been living there going on almost three year. And during the first year things were fine. Rent was reasonable and the staff was satisfactory. When I went to renew my lease for a second year everything was great, they offered a concession, like other apartment communities in the area for renewing a 12 mnth lease, which was 1 month off. (You could split the free mnth over 12 mnths to lower your rent through the lease or take it all at once.)This concession helped make up for the $30 increase in rent, so I didn't complain. But then it came time to renew the lease for a 3rd yr, thats when things began to go wrong. This time there was no concession, except for a free carpet cleaning which is like what $30?? Cheap! On the renewal notice they made it seem like they were lowering the rent by $10 and then in fine print you see "above price does not include hunters creek association price of $20." When I asked why rent was going up again and why there was no concession this year, they said that it was do to the hurricane damage last year and all the remodeling the had to do. okay, well first of all, shortly after the hurricanes last summer, they began repairs on the exterior of the buildings and completed. The "construction" they are doing now, began when the new management company took over. And its not repairs that they are doing, it's remodeling. They are completely changing the exterior of the buildings. So basically they are jacking up the price of rent to cover the cost of the new management company wanting to pretty up the complex. Except, I think they are making it look ugly and cheep. The colors are horrible and the design is tacky. And when i say they are jacking up rent, i mean it. they are now posting rent $80 more than what i currently have it leased for. it has gone up $120 in less than 3 yrs. ridiculous!
