Do Not Move Here! During my short stay at Valencia Plantation Apartments, I could not have been more disappointed. When we moved in, we had the impression that this was “luxury apartment living”. At least the signs and price tag suggested so. However, we weren’t more than a few weeks in when issues started to arrive. And it’s one thing to encounter problems, but another level when the management has poor communication and customer service. In fact, I would say the management was completely incompetent. One of the features we initially like about the apartment was screened in porches, but they flooded every time it rained and the lawn care people often blew dirt in. We were promised a shield but that never happened. Many of my personal items were destroyed. Next we had our car vandalized. After Hurricane Irma, our washer broke. Immediately after maintenance “fixed it” the hose flooded the porch and the house. We had to leave for a couple of nights with no remorse or help from management. We experienced another flood in the kitchen, right after maintenance “fixed” the ice machine. We eventually had to show them how to fix this problem. Over time the water damage caused holes and ants became to come in. Despite multiple requests for help with the ants, this problem persisted until the end. I even took pictures and showed maintenance the holes. Every day, I swept up piles of ants. When the lease was up for renewal, a large increase was given. I was shocked after everything we had been through, without so much of an acknowledgment. Also, the amenities are very lacking. The pools are filled with leaves and debris. The clubhouse is not open in the evenings and cannot be rented. Do yourself a favor and stay away. You can find much much better options for the price. This is not luxury living.

Hi there--thanks for taking the time to review Valencia Plantation. Very disappointed to hear that your experience with the community has not been a great one, as that is never something any landlord wants to hear. I did want to let you know that we have recently undergone a change in management (both on the management side and the service side) and as the new Property Manager of this community, I will certainly be taking the concerns you noted in your review seriously. In addition, while I am not privy to any promises made by the former Property Manager, I would love to talk with you more directly regarding any pending service-related items in your home and see how we can get them resolved to your satisfaction. Please email me at hjohnson@bainbridgeRE.com at your earliest convenience. Thank you! ~Hollie, Property Manager, Valencia Plantation Apartments

This once luxury apartment home has all the potential in the world to return to it's original years of truly quality living but management is deeply lacking. There are 2 ponds where ducks like to play and a beautiful lake in the back. Two pools that rarely get clean so anticipate leaves with your pool play. The clubhouse was recently beautifully updated but not open in the evenings or available for rent, so one wonders, what's the point? The units have wonderful screened in patios, but personally we were not able to really use ours much because every time it rained it flooded. We were promised a shield early on but that never happened. Also, the lawn care workers tended to blow dirt into our patio which made for more clean up than anything. Internally, we had 2 floods, both right after maintenance "fixed" the problem. Property management's response was disappointing at best. Especially, because the first flood was a few days after Hurricane Irma and we had to leave the property. Also, car was broken into. Highly suggest new management or a class in customer service.
