Do Not Move Here! During my short stay at Valencia Plantation Apartments, I could not have been more disappointed. When we moved in, we had the impression that this was “luxury apartment living”. At least the signs and price tag suggested so. However, we weren’t more than a few weeks in when issues started to arrive. And it’s one thing to encounter problems, but another level when the management has poor communication and customer service. In fact, I would say the management was completely incompetent. One of the features we initially like about the apartment was screened in porches, but they flooded every time it rained and the lawn care people often blew dirt in. We were promised a shield but that never happened. Many of my personal items were destroyed. Next we had our car vandalized. After Hurricane Irma, our washer broke. Immediately after maintenance “fixed it” the hose flooded the porch and the house. We had to leave for a couple of nights with no remorse or help from management. We experienced another flood in the kitchen, right after maintenance “fixed” the ice machine. We eventually had to show them how to fix this problem. Over time the water damage caused holes and ants became to come in. Despite multiple requests for help with the ants, this problem persisted until the end. I even took pictures and showed maintenance the holes. Every day, I swept up piles of ants. When the lease was up for renewal, a large increase was given. I was shocked after everything we had been through, without so much of an acknowledgment. Also, the amenities are very lacking. The pools are filled with leaves and debris. The clubhouse is not open in the evenings and cannot be rented. Do yourself a favor and stay away. You can find much much better options for the price. This is not luxury living.
