I lived at Union Square for almost 2 years. My husband was transferred to Orlando so we moved out, and I want you to know, not a week goes by that the two of us wished we still lived in that apartment, or had that same apartment here in Orlando. The apartment was very nice, with higher than average ceilings so it never felt like it was an apartment. It also had many things that you simply cannot find in other apartments. Our apartment had tile floors and crown molding--this I miss the most. The complex itself was always clean, found parking to be okay, but the other thing we miss is all the shopping and places to eat that were litterally withing minutes of Union Square. It was a freat location for us. The rent was a bit pricey, but we had our trash picked up everyday, three pools and they allowed you to use to the fitness center even after the Clubhouse closed. Where we live now, the gym is only open during office hours 9-5 so needless to say, we have never been able to use it as normal folks work those same hours. Maintenance was not an issue for us, and besides the AC every once in awhile needing a little TLC, we found the workers to be nice and they repaired everything correctly the first time. We paid our rent using our Visa card each month, and everythime we went to the office, the staff there was always polite and asked if everything was OK with our apartment or if we needed an AC filter. No problems there. The only thing that really bothered us is all the pet owners that did not clean up after their dogs. Union Square allows all pets, and we are pet owners, so no complaints regarding the dogs, just the lazy owners that did not clean up after their pet.
