I had a 2 BR end unit with lovely garden for 2.5 years. This is the Place if you have a pet there are lots of dogs I had just a Big Cat who very much enjoyed his garden. They are totally privacy fenced. Tho it can be a kinda low rent area to walk around outside the complex, I never heard of any trouble whatsoever, no break-ins, no people fighting, no trouble. They are all single story pods of 4 units; 2-BRs get the end units so you only share one wall and inside it is also very quiet - thanks to it being built by the Army in the 1950s. Unlike all those places up on Gandy, where I lived before Avesta, this is a NON EVACUATION Zone! those places had to evacuate and some lost power for a week! They are very quick to respond to any maintenance call tho I didn't have many. They came and drilled into the cement walls for all my many pictures and mirrors, they mounted my ceiling fans. You have to use the laundry room - no hookups that's about one of the drawbacks. I did have to walk a bit to get to my vehicle it's not parked right out your door but that made it much quieter . So close to Downtown! ride your bike! or the bay! Crescent Lake just down the street the athletic fields next door. Right on 275 . If they had been condos, I would have stayed. But it was time to buy. Rent is similar to the complexes on Gandy which are 'nowhere' but in Apartment Land. This is 10 minute bike ride to 'downtown'! and a safe, quiet, Nice Place to live
