Resident 2008 - 2011

6/7/2011

I lived on the 3rd floor, there were nice things about it and bad things. The good things about living at Heritage Pines is it is in a nice location, rent is cheap, and it is good size apartments. Bad things about living at Heritage Pines is that the walls are super thin (you can hear your neighbor going to the bathroom), I lived on the 3rd floor and although it was nice having a little bit of privacy it sucked having to tell your 2 year old twins not to touch the trash, dog poop, etc. that was up and down the stairs and on the landings. Another issue that I had living there was my A/C (granted I lived on the 3rd floor facing the sun to the west) I had to have it set on 70 degrees 24/7 for it not to be at 90 degrees in my apartment instead the temp was about 80 in my apartment all the way until about 2 am when it would finally start cooling off. The A/C was producing 65 degree air as maintenance said, but the issue was not how cold the air was getting but the fact that the only way to feel the air was to stick a thermometer in the vent itself. They found out that the air handler had a leak and was blowing into the wall (they said that was normal, which it is not, the air handler is to send air flow straight to the ducts not straight into the wall) there suggestion was to close all of the vents to the other rooms if you are in the living room (which still did not help). My average electric bill was $230. Overall you get what you pay for.
