Resident 2012

6/18/2012

Had my car broken into. Have seen police here dozens of times - as well as at least three times a coroner/forensic vehicle due to murder or death of resident. Don't believe me? Google murder or death, including the address of University Oakwoods and see what pops up. Completely unsafe lighting in the parking lots - there are 5 poles without the lights working at all within a span of 3 buildings, so it's pitch black in the parking lot. Always have loud neighbors that hang out on the stairways until almost 3am at times. Drug sales are prevalent and out in the open. Trash strewn across the courtyard of my building. The pool area is disgusting, there was a time span of 2 weeks where the water was deep green. The weight room is a hazard, with Nautilus Equipment from the 1980s, missing parts and bolts/nuts - very dangerous. There is supposed to be a security guard living within the complex - of course all the lights around his building work and I never see him except occasionally at the front desk of the office, always flirting with the property manager. For the price range, I guess I should've expected what I got - now I do understand it. No one has any kind of respect for anyone else here. I've witnessed people breaking into other people's cars .. have seen someone reach into the open window of a car to unlock it, then go in and rip out their stereo and walk off - only to see them an hour later, just walking around with the stereo in their hand as if they didn't have a care in the world. I can't get out of here fast enough.
