Our move to Wildwood Acres was not the smartest thing we have ever done. I had planned to go into great detail of how bad it was but instead I will just give you a few helpful things you should know before signing your lease. 1. Your apartment will NOT be the size you were told on the phone. (I was told 1200sq ft for a 2bed/2bath..**TRUTH,,.that is only if you include non living spaces and the back yard). 2. Your apartment will NOT have hard wood floors as promised... the flooring is hard wood look a like linoleum..pretty but NOT hard wood. 3. All Pest Control is included. You will be informed that pest control comes every 3rd Wednesday of the month. **TRUTH..Yes pest control comes every 3rd Wednesday of the month but you better make sure you call the office EVERY month to get put on a list and make sure you will be home all day. 4. Be aware of pests that are sure to be found in your apartment such as ants, ticks, roaches and termites. 5. You might be told that water is included. What they mean is water is available however it isn't included in your rent but will be included as a separate charge on the monthly statement you get by mail. It will also include a $5.50 billing fee. Yes, they charge you for billing you. 6. If you get to view the model apartment it will NOT look anything like the apartment you will get. That is about the only true statement you will get from the office. In our 8 month stay here we have had the following issues: 1. AC was broken off and on for a month and a half. 2. The lights in the kitchen that also provide light to the dining area and living room randomly blink on and off. Maintenance has been here 2 times, the Maintenance Sup was informed 2 months ago and well they are still out. 3. The heat was broken for the 1st cold front of the season. 4. We had a leak in our 2nd bedroom that started 12/6/14 and was not repaired until mid Feb. 2015. As of April 2015 we are still waiting for Maintenance to come back to clean or replace damaged carpet. 5. The leak in the 2nd bedroom caused mold to grow in the whole apartment. It was around all the windows and destroyed 37 handbags, 8 pairs of shoes, clothing and a few cabinets. 6. Our apartment was over by the large pool. Very nice but at night none of the out door lights work making if a very dangerous place to walk around. Yes you have to walk in the dark to get to the laundry room if you don't have a washer and dryer at your apartment. The office personal: My favorite person in the office was Kelly. She was always nice and professional. However Ester and the Manager Charron really need to be sent to customer service training. They are nice until you question them or request an issue be corrected. Charron's go to answer for repairs to your apartment is "why don't you just move out". Ester just treats you like you are a huge inconvenience and she is doing you a favor by doing her job. Charron and Ester really need to remember that without us tenants they wouldn't have a pay check. The Best part of Wild Wood Acres: You do have a fenced in back yard, which is great if you have dogs. I strongly suggest if you are thinking about renting here please make sure you get ALL your questions answered and in writing.
