Resident 2016 - 2017

9/8/2017

I stayed at a one-bedroom apartment while working at UGA for the academic year 2016/17. It was great! The property is a bit older and I decided to rent an apartment that had not been recently renovated. The value for the price was outstanding. Walking distance to my campus office or a (free) short bus ride. Only have to pay for electricity; water and pest control included in rent! If you are ok with a no frills place to live, I'd highly recommend the property. The owner keeps a tight watch over the property which I very much appreciated. I did not want to party and liked that things were quiet around me. When I left town for a weekend or longer, I could leave my car and apartment knowing that the manager and her staff would keep an eye out. All staff was friendly, always. Once coming home the Friday afternoon before Labor Day, I noticed the A/C was not working. I walked to the office, it was around 4:30, steadying myself for a long, hot weekend and a hassle to get stuff working again. Patti (the owner/manager) walked back to the apartment with me and made sure that her mechanic would fix the issue the next day, a Saturday. They did. At the end of the year I had to move for family reasons but would have stayed without hesitation otherwise. Patti and her staff were helpful and accommodating. I cleaned myself and didn't find the standards to be unreasonable. I received my security deposit soon after moving out. Thanks!
