Deceptive staff and management. The manager, Angela Hale, is rude and negligent, as well as inexperienced - she also encourages the staff to lie to potential tenants verbally. The complex lied to my sister several times over the phone about breed restrictions, stating that there were none. Although my sister stated on her application that she would be bringing a pet, the staff purposely ignored this information, and withheld info on the pet policy. They then tried to accuse her of not expressing interest, stating that had they known they would have "happily provided the information on the pet policies". They are now refusing to allow her dog, are denying having lied about pet policies in order to get my sister to sign the lease, and are demanding she move in. I could not be more disgusted by how unprofessional management is. Should you ever reach out to this place, I highly recommend contact ONLY via e-mail. I'm very upset by the dishonesty of the staff and management, but hopefully this review will deter others from wasting your time and money here. I won't say too much more, just do a quick Google search for "River Mill reviews" - I've never seen an apartment complex with more complaints and such low ratings. If you are thinking about living here, trust me, there are so many other great options.
You may not own a pet that can allow you to relate to this issue, but please be aware that this is not the only problem with the management. Other reviews confirm that the staff will lie about anything in order to get people moved in - they then show their true colors after they believe they have locked you in.
