Do your homework before deciding where to live for a whole year! The townhouses are decent, but when we moved in the carpet was filthy (still is), the kitchen is TINY(!!) and the furniture was not nice. We had to ask for a replacement dining room set because our's was a nightmare: 1970's patio furniture. The bedrooms/bathrooms are an ok size, but the walls are so thin! You can hear conversations next door as well as when they take showers, wash clothes, and cook in the kitchen. The staff is horribly incompetent and not helpful at all!! The maintenence staff is ok, and they respond fairly quickly. The location is not that great. It's about 5 or so minutes on the loop to campus, and only the #9 services the complex. The bus only comes once an hour and if you have to be somewhere at a certain time, don't count on it because it's rarely on time. Oh, and don't be fooled by the 'gated community' nonsense. Half the time one gate or the other was standing wide open for whatever reason. Also, when one person opens the gate, about 4 people can go through...so tell me, what's the point?? No pets are allowed, but mysteriously enough, when I look out my window at night I sometimes see a boy playing fetch with his dog...also I can hear our neighbor's little yapper from time to time. The neighbors aren't great, but you can't control that. If they decide to have a party, don't think you can do anything about it. Calling the office staff will do no good, because chances are, they're at the party too. Sometimes the parties go until 5am...so good luck sleeping. Overall, the townhouse is nice, but there are other places closer to campus for about the same price that are probably better.
