River Walk Townhomes
Resident · 2010 - 2011
Seriously, don't live here. There are just so many things wrong with Riverwalk, I don't know where to start. First off, it's really not a safe place. Like others have said: the gates remain open all the time with the exception of leasing season so they can make themselves look good. There are houses around the complex that seem pretty sketchy, and there are always tons of stray dogs and cats running around the complex. My friend's car got broken into and my neighbors and I have had trouble with some other people living there, like them throwing pumpkins at our doors around Halloween and stuff. It's just not a friendly place. And I know that the model homes apartment complexes show people don't really offer a realistic look at the apartments themselves, but Riverwalk outdid themselves on theirs. When I say their model apartment looks absolutely nothing like what the actual apartments look like, I really mean it. Also, when my roommates and I moved in there, we were missing soooo many pieces of furniture, so we had to keep putting in work orders for them to bring things to us, (we were missing our entire dining room set- table, chairs, desks in our rooms, a bed, the list goes on!) It's so cold in the winter from the apartment's bad insulation and the rates in the summer suck you dry. The Riverwalk workers come through the apartments as they please. One of my roommates left for the summer and they left her bedroom light on when they randomly came through. It's too far from campus for it to feel convenient and it just really has nothing good going for it. I know I wrote a novel here, but I just really didn't like living here. Live somewhere else- you'll be glad you did.
