710 Peachtree Apartments
Resident • 2005 Not Recommended
So I came to 710 after trying to organize an apartment cross-country. Very nice, the $515 rates, but THEY DON'T EXIST.

Not only did I move here to find a very different rate, but I was charged NEARLY $800 FOR THIS -------- STUDIO APARTMENT (400sf?!). As I signed my lease, I was told this was the "market rent" and that I was getting a "concession", which meant my rent would be $570....still a far cry from 515!!!

So, it being the first of the month, I'm not really in a position to turn down the lease, since I've already told the other places I was lookiing that I had a much better deal. So I sign. For six bloody months. And then I still have to pay $75 a month for parking, $50 for the key card, another $1xx for the -------- admin fees, etc.

At the end of the day, nearly a grand to move in here.

So I resign myself and trudge up to my apartment....to be met by pink/brown water coming out of every tap. Leasing agent laughs it off and assures me that this *isn't* the norm. (Come to find out, it damb well is!!)

I'm bummed...but not as much as I was sitting on the toilet a few days later to find...something wrong....down there. It turns out that there's nothing wrong with my body, but the toilet has boiling hot water in the bowl, thus giving my arse a "facial". I'm sure that some people pay a lot of money for this treatment, but I was WELL UNPREPAIRED for such a thing!!!!!

Cockroaches...too commonplace to mention....

Transvestite hookers...yup. That's no joke, either.

No ventilation in apartments (no range hoods, no fan in the bathrooms), so smells in 'common area' hallways remind me of Bombay, and not in a good way.

So yesterday, could NOT breathe...convinced I had a miserable cold. Around ten at night, I realized the WALL above my bed was BLISTERING. Turns out, there was BLACK MOLD in my apartment, which the awesome property mangement just PAINTED OVER. Now, it's literally BUBBLING UP THROUGH THE PAINT, making my apartment uninhabitable.

Today is a holiday, so "Nothing can be done" about it. We'll see what finally happens....stay tuned, kids.....

Oh, and yes, everyone is correct....you would ONLY move here if you were a CRACKHEAD. If I had known then what I know now, my life would be so different.
