As a tenet of the building since they opened and through two management companies, I feel I have some good context to provide to future potential residents. I cannot recommend this place to anyone looking for an apartment. In summary, the building is poorly built and has several underlying issues that are coming to light. Allow me to provide some context and details: Since living in this community (a brand-new construction), the following has happened: -As of June 19: Pool is out of commission due to a crack in the foundation in the building. During the peak season, the pool is unusable and due to foundation issues. This is a HUGE problem and will not be resolved quickly or cheaply anytime soon. Their solution is to send us to sister properties in the meantime that has limited parking, no parking and other stipulations. -Elevator is down/doesn't work/works poorly every month. Seriously, it's the worst elevator imaginable -Call box is down frequently for guests. Want a friend to come up to your place? Good chance you'll have to go retrieve them instead -Package room: Has been down a few times but I've never had packages go missing as much as I have here. Some packages I request for an exchange or refund and then they magically show up a month later? Happens way too often and I now get any package of high value shipped elsewhere -Keg in office: Advertised as an amenity but it's worked once for me. -Theft: My bike was locked on the main level parking garage near the leasing office. My tires and components were stolen from the rack. After asking if they caught anything on tape, they told me "we didn't see anything" only to find out, there are NO CAMERA's on the property. They didn't say "we don't have any cameras" but told me "we didn't see anything" in a very common area. Other residents have had cars not only broken into but stolen from the SECURED GATE PARKING. Might be time to invest in some better security? -Speaking of security, they had a security officer onsite after one of the cars were stolen. That lasted about a month only never to come back -Restaurant being built on main level: Sounded like an awesome thing until it's been under construction for almost a year with no end in sight. My fiancƩ and I have gotten 4 nails/screws in our tires since they began building and I don't think it's coincidence. All in all, this building is a polished turd. We lived in another complex in the area and signed on to this place about 2 months before they were complete. The week of our move-in, our apartment wasn't ready and we had to live in another unit for 3 months. I tell you that to mention that the building seems "rushed" to complete as they were about 3+ months behind. With the pressure to hurry up and build this place, it seems they cut corners to go ahead and get revenue (residents) in. I was shocked to learn that the initial and previous management company decided to sell suddenly (within about a year). Now that all this has occurred, it's apparent as to why. This is speculation and I'm not sure how common this is in this industry, but seems they were aware of the corners cut and were glad to get out from under it sooner than later. The current management has inherited what is most likely a nightmare from the perspective of a resident. The positives are location, views, the neighbors and everything "looks" nice, but I know better with all the underlying issues. The maintenance guys are good and should also be recognized. When you pay a premium and what is likely higher than your friends' mortgage for a 700 sq. ft apartment, you expect better quality than this (the pool most recently). What resident doesn't want to use the most common amenity in the middle of the summer that you're still seemingly paying towards? No financial compensation is considered for what should be one of the best features in the building. All in all, we can't wait for our lease to end and would get out now if we didn't have to pay a penalty. Look elsewhere
