Charleston Court has some positives, but some serious negatives for those of you searching for a new apartment. The location is perfect, the exteriors are attractive, the pool is nice, and the price is great. The two big downsides for us were the safety issues (which past reviewers have explained so well, it's not worth going into the sob stories again), and maintenance. We've had problems with our apartment since Day One. On average, it takes us THREE CALLS to the front office before they send someone out to fix something. Our towel rack fell off (b/c of their poor construction)...it took them 6 weeks to come and fix it!! Our toilet has had problems multiple times, and again, it takes weeks before they come to check it out. They do respond quickly to emergencies, though - when we called and said the toilet wasn't working anymore, they finally graced us with their presence on the same day. Also, management has little regard for resident comfort. In the six months that I've lived in this apartment, my water has been shut off 4 times! Two times we had advance notice, but the other two times we had to learn the hard way...with laundry half-way done, or a toilet no longer flushing. Ugh.<br>And as a side note, for those of you with dogs, look somewhere else...there isn't a ton of grassy space for you to walk your dogs in, and although management tries their best by setting up poop bag stations, the majority of the residents don't pick up after their dogs - leaving those of us responsible pet owners to step in crap when trying to do the right thing by walking our animals.
