SatisFacts, a sister company to ApartmentRatings, offers surveys that measure renters satisfaction at key points throughout the renter lifecycle: Touring, Move-In, Maintenance, and Lease Renewal. The questions from each survey type that are based on a 1-5 point scale are then added into the calculation of the community's epIQ Grade.

Dear Resident, We hate to hear that the renovations in your home are not up to par. I would love the opportunity to talk with you further to discuss the issues you are having with your floor and island counter top so we can get those resolved to your satisfaction. I also would like to discuss the issues you are having with parking to see if we can help clear up any confusion on where visitor parking is located and work towards a resolution on any other parking issues you are experiencing. In regards to signage, we currently have signage on both entrances to the community notifying of the parking enforcement and we also have the visitor spaces marked on the pavement but we do encourage all residents to notify their guests of the parking policies within the community to make sure they are aware and know where they can park when they visit. Hello, I am so sorry to hear that your experience as a visitor to our community has not been great and that all of the visitor spaces were full when you came to visit. We are continuing to test various initiatives to ensure ours residents have ample parking when they come home, which sometimes means we aren't able to provide as many visitor spaces. We do encourage you to get added on to the lease if you stay over more than 14 days out of the month, that way you can get a parking decal issued and not have to worry about finding an open visitor space. However, we are also planning to add some additional visitors spaces in the coming weeks to help with that. I want to assure you both that we do not make any money off of parking violations that are issued. However, per our leases the cost of any damages done to the apartment during a resident's time in that home will be deducted from the deposit. Hello, Thank you for taking the time to leave us your feedback on Cortland North Brookhaven. We are indeed moving towards being a 100% smoke free community. As communicated to the community previously, all new leases and renewals now include the smoke-free addendum. Since we cannot change a lease in the middle of it, there are still a few residents not on the smoke-free addendum, but on renewal they will have to sign it. We have multiple doggy stations throughout the community to encourage our residents to follow our community rules and pick up after their pets. If you witness a resident not picking up after their pooch, please let us know so we can address this with them. Our service team walks the grounds routinely to ensure they are picked up, but if there is an area that we are missing, please let us know.
