Resident 2020

9/10/2020

I've never actually taken the time to write a review before. I've worked in several unflattering service positions even in leasing/housing myself, so as a result I try to be patient with people who work in the service and housing industries. Trust me, when I say, that I KNOW things typically don't go as planned. Unfortunately, this is not what happened. I wish I could say that things didn't go as planned with management, but to be able to say that, that would require some kind of "planning" to even occur. As it stands, I had reached out to management countless times (30+), but at some point they decided that my safety and concerns as a resident DO.NOT.MATTER. Please DO NOT live here. In early August, an abuser stalked and stole my vehicle outside of my unit on the property. (no hopes in pulling a camera when management doesn't care whether you're breathing or not, so consider that as well. They don't close the gates here, so please don't consider that as a safety precaution. If anything they'll have it closed when they're expecting tours.) I reached out to Perimeter Circle, Perimeter 5550, and Corporate management by sending countless emails, leaving voicemails, and consistently calling with the hopes of getting in contact with a manager regarding a transfer or lease termination (since I had not been at the apartment for a full month before any of this). This was actual HELL. TRULY HELL!!! The lack of a response was truly egregious. This incident happened in early August, yet I didn't make contact with a single person from management until early September. At the 2 week mark of being ignored I walked to the office with the hopes of demanding to speak to a manager. The leasing agent there suggested that I should walk (approx 15-20 minutes) to the sister property located down the street on a different day if I wanted any chance of speaking to a manager. I quickly reminded her that I do not have a car, as it was stolen on the property, and that I should not have to walk 30-40 minutes round trip in the middle of the work day just for a slight "chance" to speak to a manager... This is ridiculous. I requested the corporate number but it was just as useless as the number to the leasing office. NO RESPONSE ONCE AGAIN. I wish I could say that being ignored by management was my only problem, but it's not even close. I've had to have maintenance repair my bathtub from not draining 3-4 times in the 6-7 weeks I've been here. The sink was clogged when I moved in. I've had my toilet seat break completely at the 3rd week mark of living here. Please read that again. The toilet seat COMPLETELY broke off, and I was left with nothing but a toilet bowl. I moved in with door handles missing off of closets with the promise for maintenance to come back and make repairs...laughable.. Never touched it again. I've been chased by animals (not on leashes) and when I ran away, a neighbor decided to tell me that If I didn't quiet down she'd be "making some calls" to quiet me down. Very alarming considering the racial unrest going on. I know exactly what she meant by that threat.... I even went as far to tell the woman I was running from an animal, but that didn't matter. She proceeded to be rude and nasty over a situation caused by fear. Perimeter Circle and Perimeter 5550 take ZERO interest in their residents outside of the money in their pockets. Update: I met with a manager. I had to take off work early and get a friend to drive me to the sister property to *surprise* her. Trust me when I say that just the sight of me had her face covered in shock. She honestly seemed pissed to even see me, and provided 0 answers as to why she was avoiding me for over 3 weeks regarding a relevant housing situation. There were several people in office as well just avoiding phone calls and residents. In the time I was there, there were also 3-4 residents that were coming to the door with hopes of establishing contact with management. (one specifically regarding a roach-infestation) The entire thing was useless. Management was useless. My problems haven't been solved. The manager also had no idea as to how I could even BEGIN to rectify my situation, even though I informed Perimeter Circle of everything that was going on 3 weeks before. She had to ask the maintenance employee on duty what the protocol even was, and proceeded to try to figure it out then. Stay. Far. Away. Corporate is just as bad.
