Leasing Office not friendly to ethnic groups
Recently, I went to check out an apartment for possible move-in. There was an older lady on the phone helping another person, and two college-aged young ladies sitting around. Mind you, I sat on the sofa waiting to be helped for approx 20 minutes until someone asked if they could helped me. To make a long story short, the woman that was assisting me seemed hesitant to show me the property. I dont know why....maybe because I am African American. She immediately told me that "we do not accept undergrads". I quickly told her that I have been out of college for some time now. While we proceeded to visit the vacant apartment, I noticed that there were no poeple of color aroud the complex. While showing the apartment, she (the leasing office staff person) made it clear through the questions she was asking that I would not be welcomed here. After leaving the site, I was very disappointed with the staff. They were very rude and somewhat racist. The landscape is beautiful, the location is wonderful, but I would not want to deal with such an unprofessional management staff for 12 months.Share This Review
