Resident 1996 - 2009

MY FIRST HOME!

My name is Stephanie Evans and I've lived at Golf Vista Apartments for 13yrs now. I moved there when it was named Colony Creek on March 6, 1996 and then it became Evergreen Village Estates in 1997 when new owners took over. When I first moved to this community there was drug dealers all over the place, there were young boys walking around with snakes on their shoulders. Also there were young boys walking pit bulls. This place was a nightmare. And there were lots of young men hanging out on the property. I lived in H-97 and when I would come home, some young men would be sitting on the air conditioners drinking, smoking and being loud. There were cars being stolen left and right and apartment break-ins. No one ever bothered me. I was never disrepected. Although I had feelings of my apartment being broken into, it never was. As time went by, and the new owners took over (Brencor Assest Mgmt)they cleaned house. Within a year, there was no more drug dealers hanging on the property,no loitering of people who didn't live on the property. We had great security who was visible and known throughout the property. The property became very clean. The groundsman was up at 6am picking up the grounds and he was very friendly. He even picked up the grounds on the weekends. Manangement was very tough on eviciting anyone who was not compliant to the rules and regulations of the lease or who simply was causing problems. I have seen a lot of change during my stay at this community. We have had three owners during the thirteen years I've been a resident. Every single Manager, Asst. Manager have been sooooo understanding of my personal situation when I wasn't able to pay my rent on time due to loss of a job or hours being cut. I have been sooo blessed and have had sooo much favor from every management team who have occupied the office. And it didn't stop with the current owners and management team. They will listen to your complaints, and concerns. They do care about what happens to your family. They do sympathise with your situation. All you have to do is be honest, and don't take their kindness for granted. And be respectful. They will do whatever is in their power to do to help you as much as they can. Next to Golf Vista, there is a recreation center where you can take swim lessons, play basketball, football, cheerleading, and computer classes(free). The prices are very reasonable. They even have a sliding fee based off your income. And the recreation center just built a brand new playground in the back for the children to play. There is a beautiful golf course across the street, and management is very nice and friendly. The best thing about the current owners of Golf Vista is the owner's presents. He is very approachable and listens attentively to your concerns. Maintenance is very professional and friendly too. When you go into the office you will be greeted with kindness and professionalism and a smile. There is a live-in security team who does their best to keep the community safe and secure as possible. With the help of the people. If you are familiar with the Cleveland Avenue area, you know how convient living at Golf Vista will be. Golf Vista has monthly residential meetings to give the residents an opportunity to voice their concerns and give suggestions of what management can do to make their stay better. If you want to live in a community who actually cares about their residents, then give Golf Vista Apartments a try. I am not the only veteran of this community, there are plenty others, and that says a lot.
